Bespoke Cabinetry
& Media Walls

Fitted cabinetry that defines a room. Libraries, studies, alcove units, media walls, all built to your exact dimensions and designed around your life.

The Work

Cabinetry That Fits Perfectly

Off-the-shelf cabinetry is built to average dimensions, which means it almost always leaves an awkward gap somewhere. Our bespoke cabinetry is designed and built specifically for your room, every millimetre accounted for, every proportion considered.

Whether you want a floor-to-ceiling library in English oak, a painted media wall with integrated display niches, or a home office that tucks neatly under an eave, we design around your space, not around a catalogue.

Your Questions Answered

Bespoke Cabinetry: Common Questions

How much does bespoke fitted cabinetry cost?

Every project is different, so we don't publish standard prices. Bespoke cabinetry is costed on the actual brief: room size, materials, complexity, and access. After a free initial consultation and site visit, we provide a detailed itemised quote. What we can say is that well-designed bespoke joinery consistently adds more value to a property than it costs.

How long does it take from first enquiry to fitted cabinetry?

A typical cabinetry project runs from brief to installation in 10 to 16 weeks. This covers the initial consultation, measured survey, design and drawing stage, workshop build time, and installation. More complex projects — a full study library or multi-room commission — can take longer. We give you a realistic timeline at the quote stage.

What is the difference between bespoke cabinetry and fitted furniture from a kitchen company?

Fitted cabinetry from a catalogue is built to standard module sizes, which rarely fit a real room precisely. Every millimetre left over means a filler strip, a visible gap, or a proportion that doesn't look quite right. Bespoke cabinetry is designed specifically for your room and your brief — every dimension is purposeful, every detail resolved, and the piece looks as though it grew there.

Can you build a media wall with integrated TV, speakers, and hidden storage?

Yes — media walls are among our most common cabinetry commissions. We design around your specific screen size, speaker system, and AV equipment, with cable management built in from the start. The result is a clean, uncluttered wall where everything is accessible but nothing is visible unless you want it to be.

What wood should I choose for a bespoke home library?

English oak is the most popular choice for traditional libraries — warm, durable, and beautifully grained. For a contemporary look, American white oak, painted MDF, or lacquered walnut all work exceptionally well. We guide every client through the material choice based on their existing interior, the weight of use, and their budget. Samples are always available before any decision is made.

Can bespoke joinery be fitted in difficult spaces like alcoves, under eaves, or beneath a staircase?

Difficult spaces are where bespoke joinery earns its keep. Alcoves, chimney breast recesses, sloping ceilings, irregular walls, and under-stair voids are exactly the areas where off-the-shelf cabinetry fails. We design specifically around the geometry of your room, which is why our fitted pieces look as though they were always there.

Do you work for clients outside Lancashire — across the UK or abroad?

Yes. While our workshop is in Preston, Lancashire, we have completed projects across the UK and internationally — including Monaco, France, and the Netherlands. For projects farther afield, we offer an optional 3D scanning survey for precise remote measurement, and we can manage installation through our trusted network of local fixers.
